Tealwood Care Centers, Inc. was formed in January 1989 as a long term care, for-profit company, dedicated to serving the needs of skilled nursing facility residents. 

Our goals go beyond taking care of the resident's needs in a safe and comfortable environment.  We are committed to meeting the physical, psychological, sociological and spiritual needs that are unique and vital to the elderly.  Tealwood is founded upon the premise that to truly address patient care, the company and its staff must use the holistic approach toward addressing, treating and solving the health care problems of the elderly. 

These goals are met by a commitment to:

1. An up-to-date and well-maintained environment that is safe, comfortable, attractive and designed with the special needs of the elderly in mind.
2. A staff skilled in providing services to the elderly and who are continually trained to improve the quality of care to the residents.
3. A wide range of services is provided to each facility.  They include nursing care, social service, recreational activities, dietary counseling and services and administrative support.  Additional services are limited, but only by the availability of funding through reimbursement sources.

In addition, other services will be provided by contractual arrangements.  These services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physician services, dental care, vision care, audiological, spiritual, and psychological services and other specialized services as required.

Recognizing that an integral part of the patient care delivery system is making it affordable to everyone requiring the services, Tealwood strives to provide services as economically as possible.  The company provides all services possible within the reimbursement system of each state in which it operates while also achieving a fair return on investment for the company stockholders.
